From a leak repair to a whole new roof.

Hail, wind and summer sun do most of the damage in North Texas. These are the jobs we do every week, with typical prices for a Fort Worth home.

Close view of dark architectural shingles being nailed down on a roof slope

Roof replacement

Full tear-off to the deck, new underlayment, drip edge, flashing and shingles, then a magnet sweep of the yard. Architectural shingle, impact-rated shingle, or standing seam metal.

Most homes: $11,500 to $18,500. Impact-rated adds about $2,000. Standing seam metal starts around $24,000.

Hail and storm repair

Bruised shingles, lifted tabs, dented vents and flashing. We fix what is damaged and tell you when a repair will not be enough.

Typical repair: $350 to $1,800

Insurance claim help

We document the damage, meet your adjuster on the roof, and check the estimate for missing items. We are not public adjusters, and we say so.

No charge for the inspection or the paperwork

Leak repair

We trace the leak to its cause, not just the stain on the ceiling. Chimneys, valleys, vents and skylights are the usual suspects.

Typical repair: $250 to $900

Gutters and downspouts

Seamless aluminum, cut to length at your house. Replaced with the roof or on their own.

Installed: $9 to $14 per foot

We tarp an open roof the same day you call.

Rain should not finish what hail started. Most policies reimburse emergency tarping, so keep the receipt. Typical cost $350 to $650.

How a hail claim works, step by step.

Most people have never filed a roof claim. Here is the whole path in plain words, and where we stand at each step.

Inspection day. The harness and the bag of gear go up first.
  1. Inspection

A crew lead walks the whole roof, then checks the attic and gutters for hail bruising, lifted shingles and wind creases. It takes about 45 minutes, it is free, and you do not have to be home.

  2. Photos and report

You get a written report the same day, with every damaged spot photographed and marked on a roof diagram. If the storm did not hurt your roof, we tell you so and you owe nothing.

  3. Adjuster meeting

You file the claim with your insurer. When the adjuster comes out, we meet them on the roof and walk them through our photos. Adjusters have a long day. We help them see what is there.

  4. Approval

Your insurer sends a written estimate. We read it line by line and flag anything missing, like drip edge or a second layer of old shingles. Most insurers pay the first check right away and the rest after the job is done.

  5. Install

We order the materials and set a date. Most roofs are done in one to two days: old shingles off to the deck, bad boards replaced, new underlayment, flashing and shingles on, and a magnet sweep of the yard for nails.

  6. Final walkthrough

We walk the finished roof with you, photograph it for the insurer, and send the final invoice so the second check is released. Your 10-year workmanship warranty starts that day.

What Fort Worth homeowners tell us afterward.

Hail came through in April and I had no idea if we had damage. Eli was on the roof the next morning, sent me forty photos by lunch, and was there when the adjuster came. The claim covered the whole roof. I paid my deductible and that was it.

Karen, TanglewoodHail claim, full replacement

Three other outfits knocked on my door after the storm. Ironridge was the only one that told me my north slope was fine and I only needed the south side done. They did not push.

Darnell, BenbrookPartial replacement

Done in a day and a half. The yard was cleaner than when they started. My son found zero nails, and he looks for them.

Priya, KellerInsurance job

The insurance company sent back a low estimate. Tonya went through it with us and showed which items were left out. The supplement was approved a week later.

Jim and Linda, RidgleaEstimate review

Fair price and they showed up when they said. Rain pushed the job back two days and Marcus called every morning with the plan. I would have liked it faster, but I cannot blame them for the weather.

The people who will be at your house.

When you call, one of these four picks up or calls you back. You are not handed to a call center.

  • Dale Whitaker

    Owner

Grew up in Benbrook and has roofed in Tarrant County for 22 years. Still walks the first inspection on every big job himself.

  • Marcus Reyes

    Crew lead

Fifteen years on roofs. He runs the install crews and calls you each morning with the day's plan.

  • Tonya Briggs

    Claims coordinator

Reads insurance estimates all day. She will tell you what is missing before the adjuster leaves your driveway.

  • Eli Okafor

    Inspector

A home inspector before he joined us. He walks your roof, takes the photos and writes the report you hand to your insurer.

Questions we hear on almost every inspection.

Something else on your mind? Call (817) 555-0142 and ask for Tonya.

How do I know if hail damaged my roof?

Usually you cannot tell from the ground. Hail knocks the granules off shingles and cracks the mat underneath, and it dents vents and flashing. A free inspection finds it. If there is nothing, we say so.

Will you waive my deductible?

No. Texas law does not let a roofer waive or rebate your deductible, and anyone who offers to is putting your claim at risk. We tell you what the deductible will be before you sign anything.

Will filing a claim raise my premium?

That depends on your insurer and your history, and we cannot answer it for them. Ask your agent before you file. Many policies give you one year from the storm date to report damage, so do not wait too long.

How long does a replacement take?

Most homes take one to two days once the materials are on site. Large or steep roofs can take three. Rain adds a day, and we call you each morning to say where we stand.

Do I need to be home?

Not for the inspection, and not for the install. We ask where to park, whether to watch for pets, and for access to an outdoor outlet.

What if my claim is denied or underpaid?

Ask your insurer for a reinspection and we will come with our photos. If they still say no, we tell you honestly what a repair costs so you can decide. You can also hire a public adjuster or an attorney, and we will hand them our report.

What does the warranty cover?

Our 10-year workmanship warranty covers leaks caused by how we installed the roof: nailing, flashing, sealing. The shingle maker's warranty covers the shingles. We register both for you.

Do you do repairs, or only replacements?

Both. If a repair is all your roof needs, that is what we quote.
